His Divine materials: a bottle, pills, a blade,
and a broken soul

The Silence is broken
A wince and a gulp
A cough and a sob
Thus begins the sacrament

Through searing pain and loss of breath
The visions begin
Like a ghoul emerges from The Depths
I welcome Death as an old friend
Streams of wine run down my arms
And tears of release stream down my face
The Angel of Benevolence is nigh!

In divine ecstasy, I reach out
The demon extends a clawed hand
Through hazy smoke, a smile flashes
His grasp turns from my hand to my throat
I feel the end is near

The shutters open, radiant light pours in
The visions stop but I am not saved
Instead, I am left here to rot.
